1. What this policy covers
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage used on aprobify.com, this website. The Aprobify mobile app is a separate matter and is covered by our privacy policy. "Cookies" here also covers browser storage that works like a cookie, such as localStorage, because what matters is that something is kept on your device, not the technical name for it.
2. How we ask
It depends on where you are, because the law does. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, nothing but the necessary cookies loads until you choose: analytics stays off until you turn it on. Everywhere else, including California, analytics is on when you arrive and you are told so, and you can switch it off whenever you like — that is the opt-out model the CCPA/CPRA is built around. Either way the choice is yours to change at any time, and turning everything off costs you nothing: no feature of this site is behind your consent.
3. Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we read it and treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, as California law requires. When GPC is present the advertising category is switched off and locked — you will see it greyed out in the cookie settings panel, and no choice of ours can override it. GPC does not switch off our own analytics, because measuring our own site for our own purposes is neither a sale nor a sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Categories
Necessary: needed for the site to work and to remember the choice you made here. These cannot be switched off and do not require consent. Analytics: Google Analytics 4, which tells us which pages people read and where our study material falls short. We look at it in aggregate. Advertising: measuring how well our ads work. We run no advertising tags on this website today — the category exists so that anything we add later is blocked by default until you allow it, rather than appearing quietly.

6. Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. It opens the same panel you saw the first time and takes effect immediately — withdrawing is exactly as easy as giving consent, and takes the same number of clicks. Withdrawal is not retroactive: it stops further collection, it does not erase measurements already recorded. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, though doing that also erases the record of your choice, so we will ask again.
7. Google as a recipient
Analytics data is processed by Google LLC on our behalf. Where consent is denied, Google's tags run in a reduced mode: they send no cookies and no advertising identifiers. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses — it uses them only to derive a coarse location and then discards them — and we do not use Google Signals or advertising personalisation on this site.
