A vehicle that does not meet California emission control requirements:
- Cannot be registered in California — correct answer
- Can be registered with a temporary permit
- Can be registered if it is over 20 years old
Why
All vehicles registered in California must meet California requirements, including emission controls, and the DMV cannot register one that does not qualify. (Section 11.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
