Before getting a driver's license in California you must pass:
- A vision test and a mechanical inspection
- The knowledge test and the behind-the-wheel drive test — correct answer
- Only the knowledge test if you are over 21
Why
Both tests are required, and both are based on the information in the handbook. (Section 1.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
