Can a driver under 21 carry alcohol in a vehicle if an adult is with them?
- No, there is no situation where it is allowed
- Only if someone 21 or older is with them and the container is full, sealed, and unopened — correct answer
- Yes, as long as an adult is present, opened or not
Why
An under-21 driver may carry alcohol only if someone 21 or older is present AND the container is full, sealed, and unopened. If it is open, it must go in the trunk. (Handbook, Section 9 — Drivers Under 21.)
