Topic 8 · Emergencies and Unforeseen Situations
How should you recover from a rear-wheel (oversteer) skid?
- Steer in the direction of the skid — correct answer
- Turn sharply in the opposite direction
- Brake hard
Why
In oversteer the back of the car has stepped out. Steer in the direction of the skid — where you want the front to go — and ease off the gas.
