When can an under-21 driver legally possess alcohol in a car?
- With someone 21 or older present and the container full, sealed, and unopened, or as part of a job for an off-site liquor sales licensee — correct answer
- Anytime a parent or guardian is in the vehicle, opened or not
- Anytime, as long as they are not drinking it
Why
Only with someone 21 or older present and the container full, sealed and unopened — or when carrying closed containers for an employer with an off-site liquor sales license. (Handbook, Section 9 — Drivers Under 21.)
