Topic 7 · Insurance and Financial Responsibility
A collision happens on private property, with $2,000 of damage. You:
- Must still report it to the DMV — correct answer
- Do not have to report it, because it was not on a public road
- Only report it if the owner asks you to
Why
The reporting duty applies even when the collision happened on private property, and whether or not you caused it. (Section 10, Reporting a Collision.)
