For which of the following must you file an accident report with DMV (SR-1)?
- If there is more than $1,000 property damage or any injury/death — correct answer
- Only if your car cannot be driven
- Only if there is a police report
Why
File within 10 days whenever damage exceeds $1,000, or anyone is injured or killed — however minor the injury, and whoever caused it. (Handbook, Section 10.)
