A front tire blows out at speed. You should:
- Take your foot off the accelerator abruptly
- Brake hard immediately
- Hold the wheel with both hands and release the accelerator gradually — correct answer
Why
Sudden braking or lifting off abruptly can cost you control. Hold the wheel firmly, keep your speed if it is safe, release the accelerator gradually and steer where you want to go. (Section 8, Tire Blowouts.)
Practise this in the real format
