Topic 4 · Defensive Driving and Safe Driving Practices
A child under 2 years old, under 40 pounds and under 3 feet 4 inches tall must ride:
- In a forward-facing seat in the rear
- On a booster seat with the adult belt
- In a rear-facing child passenger restraint system — correct answer
Why
Those three thresholds together — under 2, under 40 pounds and under 3 feet 4 inches — mean a rear-facing restraint. (Section 8, Child Restraint System and Safety Seats.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
