Children under 8 years old or under 4 feet 9 inches tall must be secured:
- With the adult seat belt in any seat
- In the front seat, where you can watch them
- In a child passenger restraint system in a rear seat — correct answer
Why
The rear seat is the rule; the front is allowed only in listed cases, such as there being no rear seat or the restraint not fitting properly. (Section 8, Child Restraint System and Safety Seats.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
