During a law enforcement traffic break you should:
- Turn on your emergency flashers and slow down to the officer's speed — correct answer
- Change lanes to keep clear of the patrol car
- Stop completely on the shoulder
Why
You switch on the flashers to warn drivers behind, decrease your speed gradually to match the officer's and keep a safe distance from the patrol vehicle. (Section 8, Law Enforcement Traffic Breaks.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
