Failure to stop and fulfill duties after a collision can result in:
- No consequences if no one was injured
- A small traffic ticket
- Hit-and-run charges, possibly a felony — correct answer
Why
Leaving the scene is a hit-and-run, and the handbook warns the punishment is severe if you are convicted (Section 10). Where someone is injured, the Vehicle Code makes it a felony.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
