Topic 1 · Introduction
For which of these would you need a different license class than Class C?
- Operating a city bus — correct answer
- Driving a pickup truck
- Driving a family sedan
Why
Driving a bus requires a commercial license. Class C does not cover it. (dmv.ca.gov/dl — Section 1 of the handbook refers you there for the vehicles a Class C covers.)

Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
