If red lights are flashing at a railroad crossing, you must:
- Only stop if you see a train
- Stop at least 15 feet from the tracks — correct answer
- Speed up to cross quickly
Why
Stop at least 15 feet from the nearest track and wait until the lights stop flashing — even if the gate rises. (Handbook, Section 7 — Near Railroad or Light Rail Tracks.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
