If you do not pass the DMV written test the first time, you should:
- Review the material and take practice tests before retaking it — correct answer
- Give up on getting a license
- Complain to the DMV
Why
You get three attempts per application. Review the sections you missed before going back — minors must wait seven days. (Handbook, Section 3.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
