If you encounter fog while driving, you should:
- Use low-beam headlights and reduce speed — correct answer
- Turn on your high beams for better visibility
- Follow the vehicle in front closely
Why
Use low beams: high beams reflect off the fog and make visibility worse. Slow down and increase your following distance. (Handbook, Section 8 — Fog or Heavy Smoke.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
