If your car breaks down on a highway, you should:
- Try to push your car to the left lane
- Stop immediately in your lane
- Signal and steer toward the right shoulder — correct answer
Why
Signal and steer for the right shoulder, getting as far off the pavement as you can before you stop. (Handbook, Section 6.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
