If your engine begins to overheat, you should:
- Remove the radiator cap immediately
- Turn off the air conditioner and pull over safely to let the engine cool — correct answer
- Drive faster to cool the radiator with airflow
Why
Turn off the air conditioner to cut the load, then pull over and let it cool. Never open the radiator cap hot.
