What is a key difference between a Class C license and a Class M license?
- Class M is for motorcycles, Class C is for passenger vehicles — correct answer

Why
Class M is the motorcycle license; Class C covers passenger vehicles. A two-wheeled motorcycle needs Class M. (dmv.ca.gov/dl — Section 1 of the handbook refers you there for the vehicles a Class C covers.)
