Why should you NOT pump ABS brakes?
- ABS only works if you pump it
- It saves fuel
- The ABS system pulses the brakes for you — correct answer
Why
ABS already pulses the brakes many times a second. Pumping interrupts it and lengthens your stopping distance. (Handbook, Section 8.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
