Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
You are parked facing uphill with a curb. Your front wheels should point:
- Toward the curb, as when facing downhill
- Away from the curb, and you let the vehicle roll back until the wheel gently touches it — correct answer
- Straight, with the wheels centred
Why
Uphill is the opposite of downhill: wheels away from the curb, then roll back a few inches so the wheel rests against it. (Section 6, Parking on a Hill.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
