You have finished a lane change but your turn signal is still blinking. Why does it matter?
- It is not a problem: signals cancel themselves automatically
- It drains the battery and can leave you stranded
- Other drivers stop trusting your signals and may misjudge what you will do next — correct answer
Why
Remember to turn off your signal when you no longer need it. A signal left blinking is worse than no signal, because other road users cannot tell what you intend to do. (Handbook, Section 5.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
