Your driver's license and your identity document expire on the same date. At renewal you will:
- Only need to renew the license
- Get an automatic extension of both
- Be required to provide a valid identity document — correct answer
Why
When both expire together, a valid identity document is required before the DMV can issue the license. (Section 4.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
