A center left turn lane may be used:
- To start or finish a left turn, or to enter traffic after stopping in it — correct answer
- As an extra travel lane in heavy traffic
- To pass slower vehicles on the left
Why
It is bounded by a solid yellow line and a broken yellow line on each side, and it is for turning, never for travelling. (Section 6, Center Left Turn Lanes.)
Practise this in the real format
