If your car starts to overheat while driving, you should:
- Turn off the air conditioner and pull over safely to let the engine cool — correct answer
- Drive faster to cool the radiator with airflow
- Remove the radiator cap immediately to release pressure
Why
Turn off the air conditioner to cut engine load, then pull over and let it cool. Never open the radiator cap while the engine is hot.
