A driver under 18 has two at-fault collisions in the first 12 months of holding their license. What happens?
- Their license is suspended for six months
- They cannot drive for 30 days unless a licensed adult aged 25 or older rides with them — correct answer
- Nothing: the DMV only acts after three incidents
Why
The DMV escalates: one at-fault collision or conviction brings a warning letter; two bring 30 days of driving only with a licensed adult aged 25 or older; three bring a six-month suspension plus a year of probation. (Handbook, Section 7.)
Practise this in the real format
