Testing options become available:
- Only after you pay the license fee in person
- When you arrive at the DMV office
- Once you complete your application at dmv.ca.gov/dl — correct answer
Why
The handbook ties the testing options to completing the application online. (Section 3.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
