A driver under 18 may use a cell phone while driving:
- Only to call for emergency assistance — correct answer
- For navigation if the phone is mounted
- In hands-free mode, like adult drivers
Why
It is against the law for a minor to use a cell phone or wireless device to answer calls or send texts while driving. The only exception is a call for emergency assistance. (Section 8, Minors and Cell Phones.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
