A minor taking the behind-the-wheel test must be accompanied by a licensed driver who is at least:
- 18 years old
- 25 years old — correct answer
- 21 years old
Why
The general rule is another California-licensed driver of at least 18, but for minors it is 25. (Section 3.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
