What is the minimum tire tread depth your vehicle needs for the drive test?
- 1/16 of an inch
- There is no minimum, as long as the tires hold air
- 1/32 of an inch of uniform tread depth — correct answer
Why
Tires must have at least 1/32-inch of uniform tread depth. A donut spare is not allowed during the drive test. (Handbook, Section 3.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
