A vehicle comes toward you at night showing only one light. You should:
- Drive as far to the right as possible — correct answer
- Move toward the centre line to pass it wide
- Flash your lights to warn them
Why
It could be a bicyclist, a motorcyclist or a car with a headlight out, and you cannot tell which side the missing light is on. (Section 8, Darkness.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
