Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
An officer signals you to pull over. You should first:
- Turn on your right turn signal to acknowledge that you have seen them — correct answer
- Stop immediately wherever you are
- Slow down and wait for them to pass you
Why
The signal tells the officer you have seen them; then move completely onto the right shoulder, even from an HOV lane, and stop in a well-lit place when you can. (Section 6, During a Law Enforcement Stop.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
