Topic 2 · Requirements and Process
During the knowledge test you may use:
- The California Driver's Handbook
- A cell phone, if it stays on the desk
- Nothing: no handbook, no cell phone, no testing aids of any kind — correct answer
Why
No testing aids are allowed, and the handbook names the driver's handbook and the cell phone specifically. (Section 3, Knowledge Test.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
