Topic 2 · Requirements and Process
How can you prepare for the test route at the DMV?
- Skip all practice drives
- Practice known DMV routes if available — correct answer
- Ask a friend to take the test for you
Why
Practicing on the roads around the DMV office removes surprises, so you can concentrate on driving rather than on the geography.

Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
