Someone is tailgating you. The handbook says to:
- Brake gently to make them back off
- Maintain your course and speed, then merge right when safe and let them pass — correct answer
- Speed up until they are no longer close
Why
Hold your line, and when it is safe move right so the tailgater can go by. (Section 8, Tailgating.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
