The Basic Speed Law means you should:
- Go as slow as you want regardless of traffic
- Never drive faster than is safe for current conditions, even if below the posted limit — correct answer
- Always drive at the posted speed limit
Why
You may never drive faster than is safe for current conditions, even when that is below the posted limit. The posted limit is a maximum, not a target. (Handbook, Section 8.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
