If two cars arrive at a 4-way stop at the same time, you should:
- Always go first regardless of position
- Communicate or wave the other driver ahead if unsure — correct answer
- Wait for both cars to go at the same time
Why
Where it is ambiguous, communicate. A clear wave resolves the standoff faster and more safely than both drivers edging forward.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
