What is the first thing you should do if you are involved in a collision?
- Drive away if your car is drivable
- Call your insurance company first
- Stop immediately at or near the scene — correct answer
Why
Stop at or near the scene. Everything else follows from that, and leaving turns a collision into a hit-and-run. (Handbook, Section 10.)
