When driving in high winds you should:
- Reduce speed and keep a firm hand position on the wheel — correct answer
- Steer with one hand to feel the gusts
- Increase speed to reduce the time exposed
Why
Gusts are unpredictable; a firm grip and lower speed are what keep the vehicle under control. (Section 8, High Winds.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
