Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
When entering traffic from a driveway or a parking lot, you must:
- Yield to the traffic already occupying the lanes — correct answer
- Take the first gap, since entering traffic has priority
- Sound your horn and merge at the same speed
Why
Entering traffic means yielding: proceed with caution and give way to the vehicles already in the lanes. (Section 7, Intersections.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
