When merging onto a highway, you should:
- Stop at the end of the on-ramp before merging
- Use the acceleration lane to reach traffic speed and find a gap — correct answer
- Merge at any speed, regardless of other vehicles
Why
Use the acceleration lane to reach the speed of traffic, then merge into a gap. Merging slowly forces everyone else to brake around you.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
