Which statement is correct regarding drugs and driving?
- Many prescription or over-the-counter drugs can impair driving — correct answer
- No drugs impair driving
- Only illegal drugs are a problem
Why
The law does not distinguish between illegal drugs and medicines from a doctor or pharmacy. Both can impair, and both support a DUI. (Handbook, Section 9.)
