You are in a collision where someone is injured. Besides the DMV report, you must:
- Report only if the injury needed hospital treatment
- Make a report to law enforcement within 24 hours — correct answer
- Wait for the insurance company to contact the police
Why
Any injury or death means a report to law enforcement within 24 hours; your insurance agent, broker or legal representative may file it for you. (Section 10, What to Do if You Are in a Collision.)
Practise this in the real format
