You should increase your following distance when:
- Driving in bad weather or following large vehicles — correct answer
- You are in a hurry
- Traffic is light and roads are clear
Why
Bad weather cuts your grip and following a large vehicle cuts your view. Both need more space than the three-second minimum.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
