Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
A truck displays a diamond-shaped placard. This tells you the truck:
- Carries a hazardous load and must stop before crossing railroad tracks — correct answer
- Is oversized and may take two lanes
- Is a slow-moving vehicle limited to 25 mph
Why
A diamond-shaped sign marks a dangerous load such as gas or explosives, and those vehicles are required to stop before railroad tracks. (Section 7, Vehicles with Hazardous Loads.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
