Answering a driver who leaves their high beams on by turning on your own is:
- The correct way to warn them
- A bad idea, because it makes it harder for both of you to see — correct answer
- Recommended if they do not dim within five seconds
Why
The handbook says not to react that way: it only makes things worse for both drivers. (Section 8, Darkness.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
