Topic 3 · Rules of the Road: Traffic Laws in California
As an adult, your driving privilege may be suspended if your record shows:
- 3 points in 12 months or 5 points in 24 months
- 4 points in 12 months, 6 points in 24 months, or 8 points in 36 months — correct answer
- Any two convictions in the same year
Why
Those three thresholds are the negligent operator counts the DMV uses. Reaching any of them can mean probation, suspension or revocation. (Section 7, Points on Your Driver's Record.)
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
