During a power outage at a signalized intersection, the traffic signals are dark. You should treat the intersection as:
- An uncontrolled intersection with right of way to the larger road
- A yield sign for the main street only
- A four-way stop — correct answer
Why
Dark signals are treated as a four-way stop: every direction stops and proceeds in turn. Do not assume you have priority.
Practise this in the real format
Reading one answer is not the same as sitting the test. The simulator runs the first-time adult form: 36 questions, 6 mistakes allowed, 83% to pass.
