In extreme heat, the handbook recommends:
- Watching the temperature gauge and turning off the air conditioner — correct answer
- Keeping the heater on to draw heat from the engine
- Driving faster to increase airflow to the radiator
Why
In extreme heat you watch the gauge, avoid driving at high speeds for long periods and turn off the air conditioner. (Section 8, Overheating Conditions.)
Practise this in the real format
